summer isn't summer unless you're laying out

i'm sick right now. cough, sore throat, headache, you know, the usual.

i have a 15 page single space. single space. midterm due in 2 days. yeah, i'm on page 6.

i was just asked to give a talk in sacrament meeting on saturday

- this is a good thing. i love researching for talks. i'm not being sarcastic. i just am not a huge fan of public speaking, but i better get used to it. my talk topic: "the Lord keeps His promises when we keep our covenants/when we keep the commandments" is a much easier topic to address to a large group than all the fun topics i get to teach in anatomy this fall. i'm not complaining- i applied for the job and i'm way excited to do it

also, i realized i'm not getting my yearly dose of summer here. I have no concept of day, date, or time here. the 2 weeks of doing absolutely nothing in august when i get home will be the best 2 weeks ever. also wearing shorts and a bathing suit every day. i miss that more than i thought i would

ps. i went to the city of david the other day, through hezekiah's tunnel, got soaking wet in the byzantine section of the pool of siloam, and saw the old ruins of the original pool of siloam where jesus healed the blind man. a-maz-ing
