i realized i'm closer to baghdad than home

sheep! with Bethlehem behind me

The city of david coming down the hill in the center of the photo. you can see the Old city walls on the upper right, with the dome of the Rock behind them
the scariest place on earth, otherwise known as the Muslim quarter. Since it was friday all the shops were closed.

Some Jews, I don't know which sect, overlooking a Jewish necropolis below (you can't see it). The old city walls with the Dome of the Rock behind. The tall skyscrapers are in West Jerusalem
overlooking the Old City from the Austrian hospice. I need green people.
Damascus gate- love it. ps this is taken from inside the Old City. I had to walk through that gate to get in.
walking down a street in the old city. i love the ground here. seriously, the stone is so rough and has a really raw texture to it.
think aladdin and you'll have a really good idea what life is like. minus aladdin and jasmine and raja.

i feel really frumpy here. and dirty. i've taken mostly photos of the landscape, but i'll get over myself and take more photos with me in them. this has been such a humbling experience already. on a more positive note, some of the palestinian and israeli men are extremely attractive. Tall, Dark, and Handsome has a whole new standard.
